What is Integrative Medicine? How is it different from Functional Medicine?

Functional Medicine is an applied form of Integrative Medicine, both systems seek to holistically address and treat  the root cause of disease. Both approaches restore your optimal function and utilize a variety of modalities (supplements, diet, mindfulness, medications-when needed, exercise and bioenergetics) to help the body heal. Functional Medicine typically involves more extensive advanced testing while Integrative Medicine focuses more heavily on the interplay between mind-body- spirit. Our practice encompasses both approaches.

Do you see patients from all states?

Dr. Stich sees patients in Kentucky, Ohio, Iowa, Washington, Georgia, Maine, Tennessee, Virginia, Florida, Colorado, and Utah.

Gwen Carnegie sees patients in Kentucky and Ohio.

Do you offer virtual appointments?

Yes! As long as you are located in one of the states mentioned above you can be seen via Telehealth. By request we also offer in-person appointments in our office in Lexington, KY.

What conditions do you treat?

We believe it's best to evaluate through advanced testing and optimize before symptoms develop. That said, we help patients with a variety of existing health conditions, including hormone imbalance, anxiety, digestive disorders, fatigue, thyroid dysfunction, metabolic imbalance, toxic overload, and more. We first and foremost assess and address the root cause, ensuring a robust foundation of health.

Do you accept insurance?

No, we do not accept insurance, nor are we considered primary care. We recognize that investing in your health isn't for everyone. We are transparent with our pricing and have a variety of plans to meet everyone's needs.

Do you bill insurance for labs?

No, we do not bill insurance for labs. We have negotiated very aggressive cash pay rates with our lab providers which are better than what most people would pay through their insurance. Additionally, many of the advanced functional tests are not covered by insurance anyways. We are transparent with our pricing and all costs are conveyed up front.

Can I bring testing that I've already had done for your to review?

Yes! We charge a $150 surcharge for appointments where we will be reviewing specialized testing we haven't ordered.

Can you be my Primary Care Physician?

We don't recommend using us as a work around for primary care or management for any condition that requires in-person physical exams for management.
